I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled."

Here are a few things I have learned from fasting to help you with your fast . Below are also a few webpages that will give you a variety of recipes to help you with your Daniel fast.
Almost all major grocery stores now carry a wide variety of foods for vegetarians. Below are a few things that fall into line with the Daniel fast that can help you.
1- Spicy Black Bean Veggie Burgers on a whole wheat wrap with mustard and veggies and a dill pickle to the side.
2- Veggie crumbles-- this is a meat substitute filler that goes will for taco meat or spaghetti. Just use whole wheat wraps and whole wheat spaghetti noodles. Also be cautious of the spaghetti sauce you choose due to sugars that aren't natural. This also goes great in something like a 3 bean chili.
3- Veggie Sausage-- This is a great meat substitute for breakfast and is very tasty
4- Ore Rida Potatoes O' Brien go great with any meal
5- I also found a vegetable butter that tastes great at the local grocery store
